We are pleased to share that Jadzia Pierce, who was until recently Microsoft’s Global Data Protection Officer, has joined Covington’s Technology & Communications Regulation team.
As Microsoft’s Global DPO, Jadzia oversaw and advised on the company’s global data protection program across GDPR/UK GDPR and other major regimes, and also served as a primary point of contact for data protection authorities worldwide. Her portfolio included regulatory engagement on important areas of risk including AI, children’s data, and advertising. Before joining Microsoft, Jadzia served as Associate General Counsel for Cybersecurity at McKinsey & Company. Jadzia began her legal career at Covington.
At Covington, Jadzia will help companies navigate the rapidly evolving EU and UK regulatory landscape at the intersection of AI, privacy, and digital regulation, with a particular focus on helping teams translate complex legal requirements into practical, defensible, and forward-looking compliance strategies.
Jadzia’s arrival brings significant in-house and operational experience to our team of senior technology regulatory practitioners, which also includes Claudia Berg (former General Counsel of the UK ICO) and Nils Wahl (former Judge at the Court of Justice of the European Union). Her experience working directly with regulators and product teams will further enhance our ability to help clients anticipate and address regulatory scrutiny and meet increasingly complex, cross-jurisdictional expectations.
We are delighted to welcome Jadzia back to Covington. We would be pleased to arrange an introduction should you wish to connect. |
